River Hill is the last village to be developed in the new town of Columbia, Maryland, though its mailing address is in Clarksville. It is home to about 6,500 residents. It is bounded by Maryland Route 108 and Maryland Route 32, and is centered on Trotter Road. The village is divided into two neighborhoods: Pheasant Ridge and Pointers Run, which are much more conventional in design than earlier neighborhoods in Columbia.
What Makes River Hill Unique?
• River Hill Community Association – offices are conveniently located in Claret Hall in the River Hill Village Shopping Center. The Association provides a variety of programs and services for community residents.
• River Hill Meeting Room – opened in 1995. This 896 square foot multipurpose room with a galley kitchen is located next to the River Hill Outdoor Pool. It currently houses a local nursery school, and is available for meetings or social rentals with a capacity of 60 guests.
• Claret Hall – the newest CA facility, opened in 1999. This 5200 square foot building is conveniently located at Route 108 and Route 32 in Clarksville, Maryland, and is only 25 minutes from Baltimore and 45 minutes from Washington, D.C. Claret Hall is perfect for bar/bat mitzvahs, parties or receptions. Our Wireless Internet capability makes it ideal for business meetings. The atrium lobby with fireplace is the focal point of this spacious building. The Banquet Room can accommodate 100 guests while the smaller room, the Board Room, can seat 35 guests comfortably.
